Hello we are The Geek Guys! Recently coinciding with the release of Super

Smash Brothers for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo released figu-
rines called Amiibos. When you place the Amiibo on the Wii U, gamepad they

come to life in the game(only in Amiibo compatible games). There are already

many Amiibos on the market, such as Mario, MegaMan, Link, and many more.

But Nintendo has just announced an extremely exclusive Amiibo in the USA.

Only 1,000 of these Amiibos will be made for release to the general public. It

is one of the most overpowered, amazing, and coolest characters in all of Nin-
tendo history. The character will be TINGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tingle first appeared

in the classic Legend of Zelda game, Majora’s Mask. He is a short and chubby

man who walks around wearing bright green full body spandex. Tingle will be

Geek Guys

Aaron and Henry here again to help you out with all your geeky needs. The talk around town lately has been that there is a new Jurassic Park movie, titled Jurassic World. In this movie, the humans have found an unknown way to make the dinosaurs not eat people. However, they just had to make a genetically engineered dinosaur, that is “highly intelligent” and “kills everything that moves”. We don’t have to much info to go on, with there only being one trailer, but we can hope that there will be another one soon. Well, onto the next movie.

He always said he would be back. Well, Arnold is. This movie is Terminator Genisys. Its plot, according to IMDB, is “The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.” That’s all. But for all you Doctor Who fanatics, Matt Smith is starring an unnamed role in Terminator Genisys!

Well that’s all for now, until next time, geronimo!

Geek Guys Movies 2015

Geek Guys here to give you the inside scoop on upcoming movies in 2015. To kick things off is the one movie that has all the superhero fans crazy. It’s the one, the only, Age of Ultron! We at Geek Guys headquarters here are going crazy waiting for this movie. There are returning heroes from the first Avengers movie with a few new he- roes joining in, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision. According to IMDb, the plot is, “When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry, and it is up to The Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.” The entire Marvel community is waiting with bated breath to see what comes.

Another movie that will make fanboys squeal is Star Wars Episode Seven. Could there be possible Batman? It’s not yet confirmed, but in one of the few released trailers, it switches from Star Wars to Batman music and pans beneath the Millenium Falcon, revealing the Batmobile. It’s hard to see and is repainted to camouflage, so it may just be an Easter egg. We are keeping our hopes up. Once again, according to IMDb, “A continuation of the saga created by George Lucas set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI – The Return of the Jedi.”

Last, but not least, there is Ant-Man. This movie is sure to be a good one. Ant-Man is one of the original Avengers from the comics. He has the power to shrink in size, thus the name Ant-Man. IMDb says the plot is, “Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
Well, that’s all from the Geek Guys for today, so tune in next time for more Geeky news. Live long and prosper. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2395427/?ref_=vi_tt_i

Geek Guys : 2014 Movies

Hey guys! It’s the Geek Guys, again, with movies upcoming for 2014. First off, there’s X-men Days of Future

Past. All we know about the plot currently is that it involves giant mutant killing robots called sentinels. Ac-
cording to IMDB this is the plot, “The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history

and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.”

The next movie is Guardians of the Galaxy. There has not been much released about this movie yet, but IMDB

says the plot is, “In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a

manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.” The Guardians of the Galaxy was originally a

comic by the company Marvel Comics. If this movie stays true to the comic it is bound to be a big hit.

The third and last movie is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This movie was only just confirmed to be coming off

but IMDB has already released a plot summary, “From their home in the storm sewers of Manhattan, four Nin-
jitsu-trained turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello, and their sensei, Master Splinter, battle

evil. This movie sounds okay but after watching the teaser trailer, my expectations a low. In the trailer it looks

like they squeezed all the comedy out of it and the CGI makes them look horrible. Well, that’s all for now. Till

next time, Allons-y!

Geek Guys – December 2013

NuqneH (that means “hello” in Klingon). We are the Geek Guys, and we have an exclusive New York Comic Con 2013 edition. We just recently came back from New York Comic Con 2013 and have a lot to say about it. First of all, to go to New York Comic Con, you must be prepared to wait in a 3 hour or more line to get into the building. Once we got in, we sprinted to get all the freebies and exclusives we could. Some awesome freebies we got from Nintendo were pokeballs and a Mario and Luigi ornament. From Mega blocks, we got an exclusive Skylander figure. From Bandai, we got exclusive Power Ranger trading cards. The Rangers on the cards were the Red Ranger and an exclusive Red Ranger and Green Ranger on one card. We also got a ton of free Marvel comics. We, also, got a New York Comic Con exclusive set of three scouters from the show Dragon Ball. The colors of the scouters are blue, green and red, it cost $40 for all three. New York Comic Con was unbelievably crowded, you could barely take a step. We went in cosplays (homemade costumes). Aaron was dressed as Finn the Human from the show Adventure Time. Jacob was dressed as zombie Mario. We saw a few panels/ screenings such as: Time Talks Adventure time, Doctor Who Big Finish and the Marvel video game panel. Some awesome cosplays that we saw were: a Dalek, Doctor Who, Robocop, Ghostbusters, Jedi knights, superheroes, Master Chief, Super Saiyen Goku, Mario, Zombies, and Clone troopers. Overall Comic Con was a ton of fun. We bought a lot of stuff and had a great time. Until next time: allons-y!

Next-Gen Console Review

PS4: Less pricey and great console. Sony is only making $18 a console. They went all out. With cool platform games such as Knack. It is a great buy. XBOX ONE: Pricey is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about this $500 console. It is however an all-in-one console. It could eventually replace your cable box. It is a nice console. They both share great NBA 2k14 graphics and MyPlayer. Madden 25 is also a great update for the next-gen consoles. YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH ANY CONSOLES!

NHL Notables

Claude Giroux: After hurting his hand over the offseason, Paul Holmgren said Giroux was ready to play hockey. I personally do not think he is ready because he has not scored throughout the first seven games.

Jeff Carter: After being traded two times, Jeff Carter has found a home. He now plays for the “Los Angeles Kings” He is having a great season as of now.

Tomas Hertl: Hertl is having an amazing season. Through six games, he has seven goals and two assists.

Craig Anderson: Anderson is having a good year. He has two wins and one shutout which happened in one of those two wins. If he has better defense, he will have a breakout year.

Sidney Crosby: Sid The Kid is back! He had five goals and seven assists as of now. He is in for a fine year.

Jason Spezza: He is one of the older players. With the four goals he has scored this year, he is looking great.

Geek Guys – October 2013

Hi, this is Aaron Klein and Jacob DelAngel, and we are the Geek Guys. We write about geek pop culture, movies and video games. A game we are really excited about is the new Super Smash Bros Brawl game for the Nintendo WiiU and the Nintendo 3DS. The newest characters are the Wii Fit Trainer, Villager from Animal Crossing and Megaman. Some of Megaman’s better attacks include leaf shield, flame sword and the mega buster. The Villager is great too. The Villager can take an attack that the opponent uses and throw it back at them. For example, if Mario threw a fire ball at the Villager he could catch it and throw it back at him. Also the Villager can summon a tree and cut it down with an axe and it falls on you. The Wii Fit Trainer is from the classic game series of Wii Fit that your mom probably bought for you to get you to exercise more. Her best moves are hula hoops, warrior, and sun salutation. But the coolest move is definitely her final smash which is called Wii Fit where multiple rainbow clones of her shoot out of her body.

Some of the coolest stages for the WiiU are Dr. Willy’s Castle, Wii Fit Gym, and Pilotwings Stage. Some cool stages for the Nintendo 3DS are Super Mario 3D Land Stage, Spirit Tracks Train, and Gerudo Valley. The cool things about Gerudo Valley are that fires can start and the bridge can break.  The release date for this game has not been announced yet. All we know is that it will be some time in 2014.   We will keep you updated on all of the new video games, movies, TV shows and anything geek related.  And for now, live long and prosper!
